You're saturated. I don't think your customers are because they still don't know enough. PLus you live it and breath it every day. The lifecycle for any SM could be segmented into 3 month increments all dependant of critical mass, once that peak point is hit-then what Mark? No way to go but down right? And then what do you rely on the community to keep sustaining itself? What happens to the product or community champions do they get bored, lazt, tired...???

Who's tasked with sustaining the community over the long haul?

I've been feeling a bit of "social media fatigue" lately myself. It's tricky because I'm involved with social media for clients (as you already know) as well as myself. It can be exciting, but also exhausting, to keep up with my Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and RSS feeds - constantly clicking links to read the latest blogs on the latest trends and studies. This past weekend and up until today I have been on a bit of a personal social media hiatus - no tweeting, no facebook-ing, no nothing. I went outside, I went to the gym, I read books, I met my friends offline for coffees and dinners. And you know what? I feel better for having done so! I could still probably use a few more days without it, but I can already feel the burnout staring to fade.
